Michelle Colte has been the librarian at Hale Kula Elementary School for the past seven years. She helps teachers integrate information literacy and technology into their interdisciplinary units and daily instruction and provides many opportunities for students to develop information and media literacy. Michelle is the Vice President of Programming for the Hawaii Association of School Librarians, a member of the Nene Committee, and co-teaches the online VoiceThread Course for Project Inspire.
Denise Sumida
Denise Sumida is a school librarian at Pearl Harbor Elementary School. She teaches information literacy lessons to Preschool through grade 6 and also team-teaches a news broadcasting/multimedia course for sixth graders. During her summers, she is a Computer 9 instructor at Iolani School, focusing on Microsoft Office and Web 2.0 tools. Denise is a member of the Nene Award Committee and is the VP of Membership for the Hawaii Association of School Librarians this year.
